Paumanok Path Trail Steward
I am Ken Kindler, a long-time proponent of the Paumanok Path. The Southampton section of the Paumanok Path is 54 miles long and, like all trails, requires continued maintenance that includes clipping, mowing, and refreshing of blazes so that hikers can enjoy the path. Initially, Southampton Trails Preservation Society (STPS) has allocated funds to pay me as an independent contractor to steward the trail, but as the project continues STPS will require donations in order to sustain this project.
Volunteers who would like to assist with the trail work cannot be paid, but their help will be very much appreciated. I will organize volunteer trail crews who, upon becoming STPS members, will be covered by the group’s insurance.
If you wish to work with me as a volunteer on this exciting project, please email: kenlitlc@gmail.com
Donated funds will enable me, along with supervised volunteers, to inventory, maintain, and improve the Southampton section of the Paumanok Path. I will continue to advocate for the Southampton section of the Paumanok Path and to engage participation in this initiative through social media, website promotions, and trails events.
All funding for the Paumanok Path initiative is paid to Southampton Trails Preservation Society.
Donations may be mailed to:

P.O. Box 1171

Please make your check out to STPS and note “Paumanok Path” in the memo portion of the check. In this way all funds collected will be used solely for the maintenance and well-being of Southampton’s portion of the Paumanok Path.
